My suitemates and I are looking at off campus housing and it is tough to make these decisions for the first time my life. I have never had to worry about paying electric bills or whether or not a price for a house is appropriate. Having to sign a lease is also a new thing for me. So much money will be spent and new steps in my life are approaching in the next year.
We have talked to this landlord that, who is the landlord of my buddies house this year, and she makes the house seem so perfect for what me and my friends are looking for and she makes it seem like the price is not very expensive which it really is not. The price is the lowest price out of any house that we looked at and it comes with a lot more stuff like cable and Internet. That makes the house also more appealing because that also makes out monthly bills lower in price.
There will be many upsides though to getting our own house. We will no longer have to live by the rules of the dorm halls, which will be a major plus. Also we will be able to save more money living in the house than living on campus by almost a thousand dollars. We will most definitely have more fun in our own house than living in the housing that the college provides for us. I want to live in this house and I will, in the end, probably live there but getting the money I need to pay for this house right now is all I can think about. I want to be able to make the security deposit right now but I might have to talk to my parents because I want to make this house thing work out.

This weekend was one of the most fantastic weekends of all time. This is because it was the start of the football season. So many college football games were played and it was amazing to be watching one of the most thrilling sports ever. I was able to sit in my suite common room and watch running backs break tackles for touchdowns and watch quarterbacks complete their first passes of the season. It was thrilling time and a perfect start to this school year.

I was able to watch the Syracuse football team loose rather largely to the Washington Huskies. This was a depressing time because Syracuse is my hometown and I like to see the Orange win. They never were ever that good at football but this year was supposed to be different. The team has a new coach and a new recruiting class that is suppose to be good. I was not that disappointed because the Orange are never good and I am used to watching them loose over the years.

One disappointment, that was awful to me, was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish loosing their home opener to Georgia Tech. The Irish only scored 3 points in the whole game and did not play Notre Dame football the whole game. It was a poor showing and I am not particularly happy with the team this year. I think that Charlie Weiss needs to pick a quarterback and stick with him. I also think that the defense needs to step it up so that I can root on the Fighting Irish to victories and not watch them is disappointment for loosing.

Another game that was interesting to watch was the Michigan game. Michigan is suppose to be national title contender and the lost to a Division I AA team. It was impressing to watch this team that was not suppose to have a chance take down the Wolverines.
